Property Overview

This beautifully restored Victorian Home (registered as the J.W. Coleman House) is currently operated as an inviting Bed & Breakfast in the South Georgia town of Moultrie. Locally known as the Pecan Hill Inn, this property is serenely picturesque, with mature pear trees, oak trees, and 20 pecan trees growing on over 5 acres of land. Two large outbuildings are also found on the property; the original Carriage House with 4 carriage bays and a tack room and an old tobacco storage barn. These two barns could be restored and remodeled to accommodate more guest rooms and/or a banquet area.

Property Description

The Inn is decorated to capture the true essence of the Victorian Era and boasts 6 spacious bedrooms with 5 well-appointed bathrooms. When you enter the foyer from the wrap-around front porch, two spacious parlors greet you as well as the beautiful staircase. Just past the staircase are two large guestrooms to either side of the hall. Upon reaching the end of the hall you will find a very large dining room to your left where guests experience a full breakfast. Past the dining room is the Butlers' Pantry and the kitchen. All of this is found in an exquisite Victorian home of over 4,200 sq ft.

Business Description

Pecan Hill Inn has the atmosphere of being in the country yet is only 3.5 miles to the courthouse in downtown Moultrie where many local shops and restaurants are located in this quaint town of about 15,000 people. During the year Moultrie hosts the Sunbelt Ag Expo, 3 automotive swap meets and car corrals, the Calico Craft Show, many large and small dive meets as well as many other activities. Also of interest is the new, private medical school being built in Moultrie. It is currently under construction and is expected to open in 2019.
