Frederick Inn Bed & Breakfast is located in the quaint village of Buckeystown, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house is surrounded by a large lawn and gardens situated on 2.2 acres of pastoral property. The original house was built in 1897 by Charles E. Keller, owner of a nearby limestone quarry. He was 46 at the time. Although it was constructed late in the Victorian Era, the house was designed in the colonial revival style. Keller reportedly had it modeled after a residence that he had seen in Rockville.
There are a total of 9 spacious bedrooms. 5 main guest suites are located on the second floor. They have private en-suite bathrooms, cable TV, and remote controls for air conditioning/heating. Each suite has its own charm ranging from a private walk-out balcony, to spacious sitting areas and decorative fireplaces. The suites are newly appointed with comfy mattresses and luxurious linens, well-lit seating areas. All bathrooms have been newly refurbished and include plush Turkish towels and luxury amenities. There are four new rooms on the third floor.
Current owners acquired the property in 2012. They performed a complete renovation, inside and out, that took 3.5 years. Grand reopening was in July of 2015. The property is zoned to conduct a wide range of business enterprises. Generally approved to operate as a hotel and/or restaurant.
