Pumpelly House Estate

Pumpelly House Estate is an executive bed and breakfast and event center located on the Susquehanna River in the city of Owego, NY, just a short 3 hr drive from Manhattan. Nestled along the scenic banks of the Susquehanna River and just a few minute's walk from the Village Center with its parks, numerous restaurants and eclectic shops. Pumpelly House Estate is a convenient drive to area attractions including vineyards, waterfalls and universities (Cornell, Binghamton, Ithaca College and many others). Owego was designated the "Coolest Small Town in America" in 2009 by Budget Travel Magazine.

This Georgian Mansion and unique Carriage House has been meticulously restored to retain the historic characteristics of the property. The garden walk under the vine-covered pergola, colorful gardens, fishponds, and pool provide seasonal relaxation. The main house features a large foyer, grand mahogany staircase, leaded glass door, wood-burning fireplace, small lounge for guests, a large dining room, and porches, both front and back, and 4 guestrooms with private bathrooms. The Carriage House (Event Center) has a capacity of up to 200 guests and has a fully equipped commercial kitchen.

A destination site favored by young “expatriates” returning to their childhood home for their weddings, proms, and showers, high teas, corporate and organizational events along with mini-conferences and retreats are also held here. It is also a favorite with guests of area colleges and universities. The direct interstate links to Manhattan and Philadelphia, makes it a convenient base for day trips to the Finger Lakes Wine Country. Pumpelly House Estate hosts area industries that utilize both the entire property on numerous occasions, especially when interacting with international visitors
